The Abu Ghraib incident was a crime commited by half a dozen poorly trained and poorly supervised military guards. Crimes happen all the time. "We" didn't "lose" because a handful of people committed a crime.
ReplyDeleteno anonymous, Abu Ghraib was a crime committed at the very highest levels of our government by traitors against the constitution and Bill of Rights. We lost our soul because if this crime, we lost our nation as a moral people. This was a crime against the human spirit, the laws of god, and the laws of this nations foundation. You anonymous are a complete idiot and fool blinded by your own ignorance and spiritual emptiness. You couldn't be more wrong, you couldn't be more evil by your shallow perceptions of reality.
ReplyDeletePaleo nuttery meets progressive asshattery. Don't you just love the internet?
ReplyDeleteAbu Grhaib had the CIA's finger prints all over it; you can't prove this, of course, the result when it was outed was exactly what you'd expect regardless if the value of consipracy=X is 1 or 0, however the probability of a bunch of numpty noncoms accidentally coming up with interrogation techniques used by the CIA is low.
ReplyDeleteThe second tragedy of 9-11 is that we had such weak men leading us, a pathetic handful of blustering chickenhawks, who have yet to learn anything from the fiasco they inflicted upon us.
ReplyDeleteAmerica's moral compass needs readjustment; and quickly. Psychopaths have taken (been given) control.
ReplyDelete"Pass this act" indeed; I'd rather pass a gallstone.
And the USA is still a beacon for so many.
ReplyDeleteIt also green lights other governments terror programs and fascism in general.
This WILL be written in history.
AS I tell my children:
There is no SAFETY anywhere, unless you make it.
Dear gl, the trouble at the prision was mild compared to real torture as done by Sadam Husine
ReplyDelete[sp] and his evil men. Our troops were just playing catch up. No electric torture, no heads cut off and posted on the internet, no deaths, just humilitation and fear, no dog bites.
The airport scanning is wrong! Boycott and don't
fly until they stop and use Israelie methods.
thanks JM
You guys all missed the implicit comparison of the domination/submission/humiliation at Abu Ghraib and the domination/submission/humiliation of the security state. Walk around a museum for a while and learn about artistic expression, you'll have better luck next time around
ReplyDelete"We have met the enemy and he is us."
ReplyDeleteOn September 10th 2011 the USA had a budget surplas of $128 Billion and the price of a barrel of oil was $28.
ReplyDeleteOn September 11th 2011 the budget deficit was $1.4 Trillion and the price of a barrel of oil was $88
To date the USA have suffered the loss of approximately 5500 killed and a further 35000 seriously injured.
Who is the winner?
"And I will make mere lads their princes. Capricious children will rule over them, and the people will be oppressed." Isaiah 3:4-5
ReplyDeleteAndy Shand asks "Who is the winner?"
ReplyDeleteAnswer: American bankers and their politicians. All continue to be filthy rich and having a great time. Immune to prosecution or consequences.
@JM who wrote "the trouble at the prision was mild compared to real torture as done by Sadam Husine"
ReplyDeleteWell, good to hear you are past stage 1 "denial" and now in stage 2 "rationalization."
At some point you might understand it's like being a *little bit* pregnant.
how true are abe lincoln's words,irregardless of the abu ghraib incidentthat a crime commited by half a dozen poorly trained and poorly supervised military guards. what the tsa does to law-abiding american citizens is a personal attack on our liberties. the tsa commits crimes by thousands of poorly trained and hundreds of poorly trained supervisors that masquerade as security officers. if this was the 1930's one could easily see them as the brown shirt thugs of nazi-germany
ReplyDelete"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter, and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." The "great emancipator" Abraham Lincoln should know as he acted in the best interests of the northern Banksters. . .
ReplyDeleteThe great crime is the New American Century and all that has followed.
ReplyDeleteIf I read just ONE more biblical quote from another one of your corn-munching, inbred yanqui asshat readers, I swear I'll THROW UP.
ReplyDeleteIf there really were a Jesus, he would have come back down to earth to BITCH-SLAP you war criminal motherfvckers a LONG time ago already.

THIS IS A FALSE STAT.
http://www.viewzone.com/wardeaths.html
"But something odd has happened with the Iraq War. The government, under the Bush administration, did something dishonest that resulted in a lie that's persisted since the war began -- and continues to this very day. They decided to report the war deaths in Iraq only if the soldier died with his boots on the ground in a combat situation. (...)
According to The Department of Veterans Affairs, as of May 2007, reports in the Gulf War Veterans Information System reveal these startling numbers:
Total U.S. Military Gulf War Deaths: 73,846
* Deaths amongst Deployed: 17,847
* Deaths amongst Non-Deployed: 55,999
The stastics for non-lethal injuries are likewise staggering:
Total "Undiagnosed Illness" (UDX) claims: 14,874
Total number of disability claims filed: 1,620,906
* Disability Claims amongst Deployed: 407,911
* Disability Claims amongst Non-Deployed: 1,212,995
Percentage of combat troops that filed Disability Claims 36%"
